I have experienced at least 3 times the following results when I tried to make buckup of some movies (last reuthoring Batman Begins):
(1). Use of DVdDecrypter to store in file mode the contents of a DVD.
(2). Use of IFOEdit to isolate the main movie with English Audio and Greek Subtitles only.
(3). Use of DVDShrink to fit the project in a DVD-5 disc.
After ripping the movie I checked the final result before burn the new compilation. On my HD I had the movie with English Audio only and Greek Subtitles only. This was confirmed using Power DVD v.6 also. After burning the disc when inserted in one of my home players (Dennon) I had English Audio, but English subtitles!?!?!? The same happened when my neighbor asked from me to make a backup for his son's DVD disc (a cartoon, I don't remember the title right now). He uses a cheap DVD player. When I was inserted into my DVD player (Phillips) everything was OK!?!?!? In that case and the other one player had no problem (Dennon)!?!?!?
When the disc is inserted in the PC everything appears to be OK!?!?!?
Can anyone assist me to solve this "mystery" since I did not noticed any UFO passing outsime of my window the last 5 years...

I'm not sure why you are using IFOEdit just to do backups. You can isolate the audio streams and subtitle streams very easily just with Shrink. Try your movie again but leave out the IFOEdit step.

When you got the English subtitles by mistake on the Dennon player could you use the DVD remote to cycle to the Greek subtitles? If you only want Greek subtitles to be displayed why not de-select all the other subtitles in Shrink before burning?

If you use Shrink in reauthor mode you can set default audio and subtitle streams. In the DVD Structure window in the upper left corner highlight the "Title 1" movie and right-click. Choose Set default streams. Under Subpicture choose "Display the following subpicture stream" and then choose the Greek subtitles. They should then be the default subtitles.

Oracle if you just want to make a backup of your movie.

3 Easy steps.
1.Rip with DVD Decrypter.
2.Shrink with DVD Shrink.
(just leave english audio and greek subtitles checked, uncheck everything else)
3.Burn (nero, intervideo,etc.)
I've made ton's of backup's with just using those three programs.
Good luck
