I was reading something on another site which has eluded me. Is it true that that Ps2 games can only run on a DvD-R if thats the case i need to run to the store.... Im using swap magic v3.6 well its still getting shipped here...

That's definitely not true. It really just depends on your system. Some prefer +R and some -R. You'll have to play it by ear and see if you can play +R's or if you'll have to get some -R's.

phew thats a relief.. but still having some -r wouldn't be a bad idea. How would i tell what game would take which? like what website if there is one?

Also should i use a +r with The NTSC version of the new dbz tenkaichi, dvil may cry 3 NTSC, we love katamari NTSC, Shadow of the collisus NTSC, and kingdom hearts 1 and 2 NTSC?

btw what image burning software should i use i have Nero but there is so many options. Leaves me confused in the process

There really isn't a website to recommend what type of dvd you should use. It really just depends on whether or not your PS2 will play them.

As far as +R for those games, you'll have to try it out. I have Devil May Cry 3 and Shadow of Colossus on Sony DVD+R's and they work completely fine with my V7.

I'd use DVD Decrypter. Its a much easier process (MODE>READ ISO, MODE>WRITE ISO) and I'd say give your +R's a chance before you go out and buy new ones.

Well today i stumpled across my old sharkport that i bought like in 2002 on old ps2. My Current V5/V6 can't play it i found why. Since it is newer. Then thought how could it stop working on newer ps2? did sony build some protection on it? or Was it on a different format? Since if it is on a DVD+R perse im screwd with backup copies working with swap magic
