I had no problem backing up Mr & mrs. Smith, or Duece Bigelow. SKY HIGH is making my hair grey(LOL).
I have dvd shrink, decrypter, fabdecrypter and nero. I cannot use Clone or anydvd because my new HP came with a dvd burner that is uncompatiable with CLONE(there is no eject button and the only way to get the disc out is to shut down the system) after the first of the year I am installing a 2nd drive(plexor) which will allow me to use clone. Anyway could someone tell me how to back up skyhigh....in laymen's terms, excplain it, as if you were speaking to the "technically retarded". I'd really appreciate it. I read all the threads, but it sounds a little complicated, any easy explaining would be apprciated. thanks!

Have your tried to use AnyDVD? If not, running behind DVD Shrink and then burning with DVD Decrypter is the ticket. And if so try again, here we go.
First things first, you will need the following programs:
1. AnyDVD, if you have exceeded the trial period then completely uninstall AnyDVD and download DVD43. The two programs don't play well together so don't have both of them installed on your machine.
2. DVD Shrink
3. DVD Decrypter
If you don't already have the above progs then go get them from the software tab at the top of this page. If you don't already DVD Decrypter just get imgburn.
OK now we can begin.
Insert the movie that you bought with your hard earned money into your DVD Drive. Open DVD Shrink. Click on Open disc like so.
Then select the drive that contains your movie.
Click OK...wait for the quick analysis to finish. I will be using Madagascar for illustration purposes only.
Along the top you have some large icons that may or may not look like mine. Click on the one that says Reauthor.
Then double click on the main movie.
Then click on the compression tab and remove any/all subtitles you don't want and all the audio except the AC3 5.1
The object is to get the number in your compression window as high as possible.
OK...now a few minor tweeks. Go to Edit, preferences,preferences. Set your target size for your backup to 4300.
I'm backtracking a little because I've left out a step or two. Leave everything alone in DVD Shrink and open DVD Decrypter. Go to Tools, settings...Device. Tick the boxes to eject the disc after the read and write.
Click OK...go to Mode,ISO,Write. Make sure that there is a check mark next to write. Close DVD Decrypter and we'll go back to DVD Shrink where we left it.
Now we are ready to start backing up...Click backup, a new window will come up...we want to set our target like so. This will enable DVD Decrypter to burn the movie once DVD Shrink has finished transcoding.
Do not multitask during the burn. This process will take between 30-60 min depending on the speed of your system, so go make the bed or feed the dog or something.
This process will give you a backup of the movie only...there will be no menues or special features.

This DVD has the same sort of issue as Madagascar.
VTS_01_0.IFO is the culprit file.
Looks like there are some unreferenced cells in it, but I cannot figure out which ones to blank using VOBblanker.
I went ahead and blanked out the ones that look like there are no references and was able to burn the DVD. The copy works fine except for a few little glitches during the previews. The SkyHigh Movie is prefect adn the Menu is perfecta nd extra feratures are fine. I must have removed something that affected the previews, but for the most part it works.
If someone out there wants to look at that IFO, I can send it to them.

(Sky High Guide) i used DVD Decrypter to burn it mode > ISO >write, then i used DVD Shrink and went to file > open disc image and open the .iso file SKHIGH1, the re-auther using set start/end frames button and go to chapter 3 and work your way back slowly to the sky high title screen where physical movie is starting, then i burned it to disc using DVD Decrypter again aafter renaming the new iso file.
good luck (by the way i did MADAGASCAR and SKY HIGH the same way, no problems)

Hi all, I successfully burned Sky High using AnyDVD 5.6.1.1, and DVDShrink. Choose to reauthor in DVDShrink, and burn the main title only...leave out all of the extras and the movie will encode and burn no problem.
Cheers!

I wish I had time to repost...maybe you should just reread...LOL If you are going to use DVD43 make sure that you have uninstalled AnyDVD entireley. If you've not tried AnyDVD, uninstall DVD43 completely and download the 21 day free trial of AnyDVD. It is updated much more often than DVD43.
Just look at tveith's post, it is mine without all the fancy pics.
@rocky999
Glad you got it to work.

Try this method as it worked for me and preserved the whole disc.
Here is what I used to do this.
1.I had AnyDVD running in the background.
2.I used FabDecrypter to make audio and video folders.
3.I used ClondeDvd 2 and opened the video folder made by Fabdecrypter.
4. I let CloneDVD do it's thing and presto a Successful backup with menus and special features.
5.Locate the newly made Iso done by CloneDVD and....lastly
6.If file is too big then now you can use Shrink without worrying about the "Not enough Memory" issue.
Hope this helps because I know this movie is a pain in the A*s

ATTN: Newbies & those that doesn't have the latest from AnyDVD
Looks like SKY HIGH carried another similar RipGuard protection just like "Madagascar". To solve the problem, you'll need VobBlanker.
Easy way is to have VobBlanker "BLANK" out PGC 2 and PGC 3 of VTS_01_*.VOB, then "PROCESS" and you'll have a successfully working full disc within 35 minutes. I guarantee you..!! Again, that is what I did and it works for me -- got the full disc, tested/watched it and it plays flawlessly.
1) rip it with DVD Decrypter via File Mode
2) open up VobBlanker, click on VTS_01_*.VOB and "BLANK" out PGC 2 & PGC 3, click "PROCESS" -- now sit back and relax it will be done shortly.
3) import into Nero Recode 2 and just encode it as usual (or you can import into DVD Shrink and shrink it the usual process)
4) now burn this baby (SKY HIGH) with any of your burning engines. (That's it.... easy as sippin' on some Hennessey).
Enjoyed it and happy burning..!!!

I have tried to copy Stealth and Sky high with no success... I have DVD Cloner II, DVD Shrink and DVD Fab Decrypter, Nero has expired and even after deleting it, a new trail version won't install.... Help!

If both AnyDVD, DVD43, and DVDFab Decrypter doesn't solve the problem for y'all, then follow the below little guide and you'll have a successfully working full disc in no time.

Make sure that your firmware is up to date.
@NorrisW
You have the trial version of what? If you are talking about AnyDVD, make sure that it tis the latest version.
Quote: I have DVD Cloner II, DVD Shrink and DVD Fab Decrypter, Nero has expired and even after deleting it, a new trail version won't install
All that you need from this list is DVDFab Decrypter ( to get the latest version, you must uninstall any older versions and then download the latest version.), DVD Shrink, and DVD Decrypter ( if you don't have DVD Decrypter, download IMGBURN).
Rip the movie to your HDD with DVDFab Decrypter, then transcode with DVD Shrink and finally burn with DVD Decrypter or IMGBURN.
I did Stealth today without a hiccup, using only AnyDVD, DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter...the compression on the full disc was only something like 15%.
@mazster
No problem...glad to help, and happy burning.

@LarrySr
You're welcome. I'm glad you're able to have a successful backup with VobBlanker. Yes, VobBlanker is FREE... and it's very useful -- it can "blank out/take out" anything that you don't needed or wanted.
This is for any newbies that doesn't have any successful backup yet, or for those that doesn't have the latest from AnyDVD, and or all your other methods has failed.
NOTE: the below pictures is for Newbies only and or others that's interested in VobBlanker. This is specifically for SKY HIGH only.
