CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME IN THE EASIEST WAY POSSIBLE A STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO MOD MY XBOX SO I CAN PLAY MODS ON HALO 2!!! I GIVE UP NOW ITS ALL ALIEN TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the easiest way would be to take it to a shop and pay them to fit a mod chip, once that is done your xbox is ready but you need to learn how to do the mods.
doing the mods on a chipped or modded box is fairly easy if you just apply copies of other people mods by using a PPF system. PPF is basically a log of changes made to a file, by knowing the changes you can get an application which applies them automatically, it only gets more complex when you try to learn to do new things that no one has done before but first things first...
I know its daunting but take it in steps...
1) mod your box via chip or soft mod -
A) if you go the mod chip method you can either pay a store to fit it or do it yourself, its not too difficult if you buy a chip and the no solder attachments and step by step tutorials with pictures are available from places like www.modchip.com
B) if you go for the soft mod method you need to do it yourself and get the downloads for the auto installer, etc and the correct games or programs which allow you to run the install for the modded dash boards etc.
decide which above option you want to do and ignore the other...
1)Once your box is modded
When you have succesfully modded your box, all you have achieved is the ability to make changes and play backed up games or applications so at the moment you would need to learn how to mod. in simple terms, Modding involves copying files from the xbox to pc, changing somethiing and then copying it back to the right place so before you can start modding you need to know how to copy things from one place to the other.
To achieve this most people use FTP (File transfer protocol) there are loads of tutorials on this you just have to know what to type to find them (xbox FTP tutorial). to do it you would need to get an FTP program (free dowload), then point this to the xbox (via the xbox ip which will depend on your home network) usually something like 192.168.x.x etc and username and password will be "xbox and Xbox" unless you changed them when you modded it. once this is done you can copy files back and forth.
1) once you have done this lot your ready to begine modding, I'd get this lot done and then come back here or look into tutorials on how to do the next stages-

yeah ive soft modded it now i use dot halo to edit i now want to know
how to change game names to have pictures like rockets in them etc
how to make my guy dissappear when the crossaim of an enemy locks onto me
how to make weapons more powerful like the smg on the relic ppf off a4h
and finally how to make my guy invincible
ooh yeah and what weapons can every1 see mods on apart from rockets and plasma pistol???
could you help me please thanx :)

well i modded my xbox with an xploder gamesaves so i fink its possible with anything as long as you have a usb docking station for your memory card all i did was plugged the docking station in then installed the action replay program from code junkies and now im happily making mental race tracks on containment!!!!!!! it maybe annoying getting your xbox modded but when its all done u can have so much fun come check out my race track so far its cool

hi max, i was just wondering how you managed to get the xploder usb thingy to work using action replays software and option files? I cant seem to get it to work and when i try using the files from here: http://uk.codejunkies.com/saves_show_game.asp?c=GB&cr=GBP&cs=£&r=...
they don't work. 'invalid files' apparently. I specifically bought xploder to update pro evo 4 with proper team & player names as its just not the same with all the madeup one the games currently has.
I would use xploders own server but i cant seem to get the software to register for some reason. (I'm currently waiting for a reply from their tech support)

I Downloaded ar off the codejunkies usa site then i changed the drivers of the usb docking station to the action replay ones then it worked add me on xbox live then i will tell u my email or talk you thru it MAXAMILLIONAIRE

cheers max, it worked a treat. I had tried using the AR software before but it didnt work because I hadn't switched over the drivers. thanks a maxamillion :)

yeah i had to uninstall the docking station then re install it once its uninstalled i made it look for other software then found tht glad i can help sum 1!

how do i mod with action replay im going to go buy it at walmart and I would like to know how to mod in halo 2 with it. like being able to pik up an smg and make it be 20000 rounds. messing with names of custom games. put vehicles in maps. someone please help me.
