I am 100% new to making back up copies of games. I have DVDdecrypter and use it regularly to make backup copies of dvd's. I understand the whole process of copying a game to dvd, but know nothing about what is needed to play the backups on my console. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will have to buy a modchip and install it in your ps2(solder it).
How ever this will void your warranty, if you dont want to void it, then you can buy Swap Magic 3.6 which is a pair of boot disks, one is used to load ps2 dvd backups, and the otherload load ps2 cd backups, all you have to do is just clip a tool in the cd tray for swap magic, if u need mroe information pm me.

You can buy them off ebay for a reasonable price if you want.

Mod chips are very expensive and you need to have an expert solderer which cost alot too.
