Flip-Top Problems... Normal games wont load, nor backups

I bought a flip-top cover for my ps2 recently from clearxbox and i cant seem to play my regular games nor my backups. it makes a weird clicking sound and a strange whirring sound. I tried to backup my San Andreas, and it will go thru the intro's and when it loads a level it freezes and makes the noises. I tried burning with DVD Decrypter twice, using the known Read/Write Method. I burned at 4x and 2x, still didnt work. Will somebody help.

Alrite, i did the white hub thing and fixed it, now normal games load, but backups still having trouble making whirring sound.

Im having this same problem. I installed the flip top, the only game that is backed up that works of mine is the new tony hawk game. I have a socom 3 and the new matrix game and it gets to maybe the menu area and freezes. Doesnt even let me play it. Anyone know what might be the problem here? I have a older ps2 but one of the back ups work but the rest dont? Also original games are freezing at the menu. Any help?
