Apologies if this is the wrong forum, wrong anything. I'm new and desperate at this :) Oh well that's a lovely combination!

You see when I try to load a video I just got into my VLC player, it becomes strangely distorted like this picture above. The width stretches from one side of my monitor to the other, but the heighth is normal. [u]The picture posted above isn't a screenshot of mine, I found it somewhere and realized that my problem looks just like it. However, mine happens in my regular VLC player not mozilla Firefox player.[/u]

Also, other videos do work on my VLC player perfectly fine. I got a problem like this a while ago, but the video ended up working on DivX player. The video I'm currently having problems with doesn't work on any other player. On many of my players (I have downloaded a lot to try to get this to work) like DivX player, it shows 00:00:00 time throughout the whole movie so I can't fastforward or anything which is a pain. And on Media Player Classic it lags and has choppy playback which is also unbearable.
