Ok,so i installed the fliptop and got my Swap Magic 3.6

The thing is that its been a hit or miss thing getting the backups to work.

Sometimes it will work, sometimes it will say not a valid PS2 disk, sometime putting some weight on the top of the PS2 fixes it but then I try again and it doesnt work again.

The method that gives me the most sucsess is loosening the screws in the PS2 then putting weight on the top of it.

THis is really weird and its driving me nuts, anyone know why i tmight be doing this.

Im using Maxell 8x DVD-Rs(media code RitekG05)

This is really getting on my nerves.

i can tell you that on my old V7, when i bought the flip top it
will only work if i do not put the screws back into the bottom of the case. If i do that it is too tight and will not load.
Once i took them out and put the top back on, it works perfect.

Hey steimy,I tried that and the disk just spins of out control, but if i leave the screws out and put the weight on top of the PS2 it works everytime,so i guess ill just have to deal with that.

either that or screw them in a little at a time until
it works every time. It may just need to have the right amount
of pressure.
But having it work is the biggest part, even if it is an annoying
way you have to do it.
