Restoring deleted hard drive files??

Has anybody ever heard of anybody restoring files they had accidently deleted on their recorders with hard drives? Like a fool I hit the wrong button and deleted everything I had stored but not yet put on disk.

I haven't recorded anything new since so all the data is still there if these things work anything like a PC. So I'm wondering if there are any restore tools available or if I'm basically screwed. I have a Pioneer 510H. TIA
