For some reason, it's not allowing me to burn my DVDs anymore. I've done this hundreds of times, but all of a sudden... it's not working.

I used DVD Decrypt to save it to my computer, then used Shrink to compress it, then Decrypt again to burn it. I can get through the first two steps but when I put in a blank DVD to burn it shows this at the bottom "Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present)"

I've rebooted my computer and the burner a couple of times now as well as gone through the first two steps twice now. (I am trying to get War of the Worlds to burn).

Any ideas what is going on??? THX!!!

two things try uninstalling and reinstalling DVD Decrypter. If that does not work try uninstalling your dvd burner reboot and let windows reinstall it follow the promps. im assuming you have not changed media if you have your dvd burner may not like that brand or you need the latest firmware installed.

Good Luck

I think it's the DVD burner. But it still 'works'. I mean, I can put in the DVD, rip it, but it won't do the 'burn' part.

I downloaded DVDFab and it seems like a great program but it kept asking me to put in a disk (even though I already had a new one).

BTW: I have been using the same media since day one.

I experienced a similar problem. I found that after freeing up more some of my hard drive and more importantly shutting down programs running in the backround my burner started working again. If you have the free download program "EndItAll" install it. Shut down all of the excess stuff running in the backround and then try. Worked for me.

Never used enditall but I have used hijackthis great free program. Be very carefull with hijackthis know what your killing before you stop things. If you simply want to stop some programs from running at start up you can also go to your run prompt and type in msconfig then look under startup and kill programs there too.

Good Luck
