just lately my ps2 backups are not always working prop, have been told that my dvdrw is burning them too quickly, it is set at x4, (the slowest i can have it set too), have checked the firmware but that is all upto date, anyone know how to change the settings or any suggestions on a new dvdrw that burns at x2 as that i have read this is a beeter speed to do them at. thanks

the 'cause of the burning being only 4X could be media. This happened to me when I had bought cheap no name (I bought about 4 or 5 to test) and 1X,2X,4X would be options for burning speed but, if I chose anything lower than 4X it'd still burn at 4X. This only happened with that media as all other media I have used let me burn at slower speeds if I wanted.
