PS2 Backups Crash!

Hi,

I have a slimline v12 ps2 with swap magic 3.6 and it plays CD backups fine, but whatever media I use for DVD backups, it crashes. Sometimes it is straight away and others after 10-15 mins. please help because it is reeealy annoying!!

are u using good media,are ur burning at good speeds?
4x works the best for 8x dvdrs

yep, both. i have 8x ritek dvd-rs that i am burning at 4x

i have no idea,if u still have warranty,send it in,sorry i cant help any further on the laser issue

OK, i know this is a dum question.
But you are using the DVD version of Swap Magic to load the
games right? not the CD version.
Ritek 8X DVD's burned with DVD Decrypter at 4X should work just fine.
have you looked on the net to see if there are any firmware
updates for your burner?

I would switch to dvd+r some ps2's dont work with dvd-r like mine.I dont think its your lazer if it plays cd backups fine,maybe though.

Since you have a newer PS2 I would give DVD+Rs a shot.
