Hello Folks.
I'm getting sporadic problems with playback after using the TMPGEnc=>VCDEasy route converting AVI to SVCD. The resulting SVCD will be corrupted only in one or two places, but I can't seem to fix it.
Hmmm.
Thanks Mezz

The thing you are discribing are common problems with me when I used VCDEasy. Do you notice in VCD Easy the buffer runs down very quickly? If you do then my guess is that the burn is causing the problem. Use Nero...

As a rule for the best quality I would suggest the following:

1. Convert at the highest bitrate possible to fit on the required amount of disks (This will get rid of video judder/stutter).
2. Burn at slowest rate.
3. Make sure the 'frames per second' in the AVI matches the selection of format (NTSC, NTSC, Pal) for the MPG. (This also can effect the judder/stutter)

You can use DVD2SVCD using CCE (Cinema Craft Encoder) to convert avi to SVCD. The end result, super video quality although this is transcoding process and will "slightly" decrease the video quality. Same applies going VCDEasy route conversion using TMPEng.
