Yep, purchase it.

It's worth it.

The only way around it is if you want to reformat your computer every 3 weeks, otherwise buy it. It is a good investment and cheap for what you get.

@arniebear

You mean all I have to do is reformat my PC every three weeks and I can have AnyDVD for free....wooohooo.

LOL

@Mazster

I was an AnyDVD naysayer until I really needed it...it is worth the money and it is not alot for what you get.

DVD43 (freeware)is a similar program, but it isn't updated as often as AnyDVD...so if you don't mind waiting to backup your new movie just use it. There is also DVDFab Decrypter, and it too is free.

@LOCOENG

That is the secret, just reformat. I got attacked by Malicious Hijackers through my DSL awhile back and had to reformat a couple of times, everytime AnyDVD would pop up and say I had 21 days, to bad I had bought it. Reformating is such a joy, gives you that neat tidy feeling, course I cried over the loss of all those beautiful Nero logs.

I thought AnyDVD was free. The version I have was free, and it has worked on every dvd over the past 6 or 7 months.

Am I missing something by only having AnyDVD run in the background. I couldn't get the prog to do anything else for me. All I am running is the trial.

AnyDVD is a driver that runs in the background to break encryption, as long as the little red fox is in your tray it is running and doing its thing, if it is greyed out in the tray it is not. That is all the program does is just bust the protection.

AnyDVD removes encryptions on DVDs and runs in the background while you rip or encode the disc with DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, DVDFab Decrypter, etc..
AnyDVD is running smoothily when you see a little red fox on the bottom right corner of your taskbar. To see the protections that AnyDVD has removed, right click on the little red fox and choose Show Information.

It will look something like this:

My DVD Arsenal: BenQ DW1650 Drive, Plextor DVDRW PX-740A Drive, Nero 6.6.0.13, AnyDVD 6.1.8.4, CloneDVD2 2.9.1.2, DVD Shrink 3.2, DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0, DVDFab HD Decrypter 3.2.1.0, VobBlanker 2.1.3.0, RipIt4Me 1.7.1.0, FixVTS 1.6.0.3
