i used dvd identifer to find info on this disc and it says taiyo yedens but when i used them to burn for making a backup for a ps2 game it wont work i bought these from the flea market for 10 bucks and on the label it just says DVD-r with no info except 4.38 Gbs. I also burned these at 2x 4x and max but nuthin seems to work then i used vertabins (sorry bout my spelling) and that worked perfectly with one of the games that wouldnt work with these dsic

there is a good chance that the ones you got are FAKE Taiyo Yudens...check the inner hub laser inscribed coding, for THOSE particular ones, you SHOULD see : GG000xxx (where xxx is the batch number for when they were made) i assume that these are the 8x DVD-R, i have a funny feeling that you got some FAKE TYs there buddy, but, i might be wrong...double check and IF they are FAKE, THAT is why they don't work~ :)
