Have downloaded a 6.1GB uncompressed dvd .img w/ menus, etc. It contains Video_ts & Audio_ts folders.
My burner supports dual layer. My question is does Nero version: 6.3.1.11? Also, can you burn a dual layer .img in Nero?
In searching for these answers I read that CloneCD/DVD is the software to use for .img's(?). If that is the case will CloneCD/DVD burn dual layer?

Hi there,

Nero v6.3 is a little bit outdated, specially if you are going to use Dual Layer media.

Latest is v6.6.0.18

Also make sure you have the latest firmware on your burner.

Nero should do .img files, I think :)

If it has video folders then use DVD Shrink and it should be able to shrink it into a Image File that will fit on one 4.7GB disc. Then use DVD Decrypter to burn it. Nero can do it too.

I just got DVD Shrink & haven't used it much. I may try shrinking it but it's my understanding that it removes menus & stufff in order to do it so not sure I wanna lose that stuff unless absolutely necessary. I will have to see...

I did use DVD Shrink to shrink it and it fit on one 4.7GB disc. Then used DVD Decrypter to burn it. Menus still intact. All's well, thx all.
