I can't burn any DVD's because the it says the medium is not present although it is and when it says it is I get an error ....

I/O Error!
Device (1:1:0) PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631 GD30 (E:) (ATA)
Interpretation: CHECK CONDITION
Interpretation: Write Error

With some mumbo jumbo in between that seemed not important....
Wondering if anyone can please help me?

Hmmmmm... looks like that's not a full log. So, I take it that this is the writing stage right. If so, then what kind of blank media are you using? Don't use cheap or unknown media because DVD Decrypter can be very picky sometimes.

Please post the entire failed write log, as there is useful information in there that could identify your problem.

This media is not usually recommeded at this forum. Lot's of folks report haveing trouble with it. Inconsistant dye spread quality.

Try some Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Maxell's. Good media. Even Office Depot Name Brand Media in DVD+R 8x is very good.

Burn no faster than 4x and set your burn target size to 4300.

Post a full log so we can see what is going on.
