Help Choosing a DVD Recorder...

Im looking for a DVD player primarly for ripping old VHS tapes to DVD. I dont need a hard drive cause I have no purpose for one. Also im guessing ill need a recorder with macrovision disabled. But if i need to buy a video stabilizer I will.

Ive been looking at a Philips model from bestbuy
Also a Panasonic ES20 and an LG LRA-536.

IM leaning towards the LG.

What do you guys think?

I don't think that you can find Macrovision hacks for any of the machines that you listed ..

Get a LiteOn LVW-5005 .. there is plenty of on-line support and several hacks are available! (Plus it's a better machine)
