i have a question that my fiend has been bugging me for a while, but i cant really answer him as much as some of u can......can u use XBOX LIVE on a AOL 9.0??
If your referring to dialup internet, no you can't. AOL 9.0(never used them as an ISP but have used others AOL connection) is just a browser for the internet(a bloated resource hog of one). You need a broadband connection to the internet and your internet browser has nothing to do with it(you don't use it while playing on Live)or any other internet browser.
i remember i use to have aol a long time ago with dsl and like everyone says its really bad.
That plus i think even if u have broadband with aol or just regular 56k, i think they charge u something to run console games through aol, i think theres like a 5 dollar a month charge or something or else u wount be able to connect when putting in isp pw and username.
I believe that was the case b4 but not sure now. Your friend should just upgrade to broadband, aol is like 24 a month now? u can prob get a cheap broadband connection for 30 or even less if u can get verizon $15 monthly deal. where do u live btw?
- not strictly true. occasionally when I play halo, some people come on with 56k modems and play fine (only in a 1vs1 basis, and obviously, they cannot host) but 'tis possible...
