I have 3 MPG files captured from a video camera. I'm building a simple main menu and the 3 clips. I'm adding chapter breaks every 5 minutes. The total footage completely fills a DVD5.

Why is it that ULead Movie Factory SE 3.0 takes about 30 minutes to build the audio/video folders on my hard drive whereas TMPGEnc takes about 5 minutes?

I just want to build a simple main menu and chapter breaks in my home movies. Which of these, or another software package, would you recommend for my purposes?

Would another stick of 512 MB RAM help?
