I've tried different decrypter programs and I still get the same results, it just can't rip a few files in the beginning. I've used decrypter and defab free programs. I've tried just ripping the main movie with decrypter and it failed and then tried th full movie and failed. I tried aggressive settings and that also failed. What gives? People say that the Decrypter is the best out. I believe it, but I just don't know how to use all of it's special properties. Can someone shed a little light on this problem for me a complete novice. Thanks so much. You people are great. I've met some very considerate people on this site. Glad I joined. Lois

Thanks spacedust. I'll download the program and let you know, OK? I see I'm not the only one having problems with that movie. It just gives me problems on the VTS_01_1.VOB file. It seems to decrypt all the others just fine with my decrypter program.

Do you use DVD Shrink in conjunction with DVD Decrypter? Just install AnyDVD 5.6.1.1. As soon as you insert this dvd it will be broken. Nothing for you to do except reauthor in shrink,to get movie only, removing all extra audio and subtitles and then burn with decrypter. Just like butter.

I was so ugly when I was a kid, my parents used to take me everywhere just so they wouldn't have to kiss me goodbye.

SKY HIGH is NOT impossible to rip, SKY HIGH is just another piece of cake. Apparently, SKY HIGH does carried another Ripguard protection -- same thing with "Madagascar", but don't worry, all you need is VobBlanker and all your misery will be free.

If you follow the below mini guide carefully, I guarantee that you'll have a successfully working "full disc" backup in no time. Here's what you need to do.

A) create a folder name SKY HIGH and hit ENTER to save on your hard drive, now go into your folder SKY HIGH and create a sub-folder name VIDEO_TS and hit ENTER to save it inside SKY HIGH

B) create another folder name NEW_SKY HIGH and another VIDEO_TS inside NEW_SKY HIGH (do the same thing as above)

1) Rip the movie using DVD Decrypter on Mode, File F into your hard drive. (Make sure your "destination" is your VIDEO_TS folder inside your SKY HIGH folder, and your "source" is where the original movie is located [dvd-rom drive or your dvd burner]). When you're ready just hit DECRYPT. Sit back and relax until DVD Decrypter successfully ripped/decrypted all of the dvd files into your hard drive, then you can closed DVD Decrypter now. **(This shouldn't be hard and it should only take about 12 - 14 minutes only).

2) now open up VobBlanker, (a) on "INPUT" - browse to your VIDEO_TS folder that is inside SKY HIGH folder from your hard drive (this is your dvd files that DVD Decrypter ripped earlier). (b) on "OUTPUT" - browse to your VIDEO_TS folder that is inside NEW_SKY HIGH folder (this is your new SKY HIGH folder that you'll need to import/load into DVD Shrink or Nero Recode 2 to "encode or compress"). (c) click on VTS_01_*.VOB, you'll see PGC 1, PGC 2 and PGC 3 on the display below, now HIGHLIGHT ONLY PGC 2 & PGC 3 and click on "BLANK", then just click on "PROCESS". Now sit back, relax until VobBlanker is successfully completed (this process should take about 10 - 15 minutes only, depending on how fast is your computer). Once it's done, just exit it out.

3) now open up DVD Shrink or Nero Recode 2, (a) import your VIDEO_TS folder inside NEW_SKY HIGH folder and just encode or compress with your usual process of encoding/shrinking. (b) once you're done, you can burn this baby on any of your desire burning engines. That's it.. it's a piece of cake, easy as sippin' on a Corona.

Again, if you follow these steps exactly and carefully, I GUARANTEE 100% that you'll have a successfully working "full disc" backup.

Enjoyed it and happy burning..!!!

Thanks alkohol. You've never let me down yet but your way sounds like work. I'll try the easier ways first and if all else fails I'll try your way. Sky High is the second movie that really has me stumped. Hope all the new movies aren't going to be this hard to copy. Thanks everyone.
