how do I play genesis roms on my action replay max???

I know i have to make the CD with roms with Max Media Creator but it only lets me save my list of roms as a .bin image (when i click Ps2 cd roms as the output it says there are no drives under the category)...I then recorded the image with nero since max media creator wouldnt let me record the image....I loaded up Media player on my Action Replay Max disc and switch but it does not work....can anyone help???

What version of PS2 do you have? v12 slim or older, aka the "fat" versions? (look on the bottom & type out the SCPH-xxxxx if u do not know). Have u visited this thread & read how to make the emulator work? http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/40846
All u need is the file list & a USB drive -or- the right burn to a DVD & you are there.

I have the fat versions..version 7 i think...DVD? maybe my problem was i was trying to burn them on a CD...

Hi,

The same thing happens to me. When using the software provided for the PC to compile roms & emulator to a CDR - it does not detect the CD Writer. The only option is to save it as a CD IMage to the hard disk, or perhaps to a Memory stick.

It seems to me the solution you refer to is for modded PS2s....

Any ideas ?

Don't bother with the Max Media creator b*lls**t, ok? Just follow the guide that c7015 created. It will work, make sure you check out that thread and perhaps the one by Tokijin here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/117975
People worked very hard to create these guides, read them & they'll get you what u want.
