The Ps3 is hopefully getting perfected b4 they put it out, the 360 is faulty according to a lot of places due to them being rushed and the only reason there selling out is because M$ limited the stock.
But yeah i do wish Sony would hurry and get it out, the Ps2 is boring.
aye aye man

PS2 is still a good system. Analysts predict the XBox will die a year after the XBox 360 comes out while Sony will keep it's PS2 alive for a few more years.

listen you ppl its called patience.sony is patient and its good.xbox was stupid enough to release so quickly bcuz it sucks real bad, images are freezing, headsets dont work, cds melt, and more BS and bcuz of that sony is learning from xbox's mistakes and is going to make the sony ps3 communitty alot more better and i guarantee that.

You cant guarantee anything you don't work for sony. When the PS2 came out it had its share of problems too. I am just surprised that sony has done nothing to still some of microsoft xbox360 marketing share.

its a good idea to not say much right now cause the x360 is out and that is wat all the hype is about. when the x360 hype goes down ps3 can pounce and ps3 will get all the attention instead of having to share it with m$

I dont really remember any problems with the Ps2 when it was first relaesed. Only problem i had was the stupid gay A** piece of sh** disc read error that killed my ps2 3 and 1/2 years after i got it.

I agree with Stryfe, before the PS2 release Sony offered online gaming and hardrive. Both took years to finally arrive, and the hardrive was only available with FFXI and, to make things worst, is not supported by the new slim PS2. My point with this is that little is guarateed at this point. We'll have to wait and see.

Sony also boasted 125 million polygons per second for the PS2, and we all know how that turned out.

It's a bit harsh to judge the 360 on it's release. The problems that have occured have been blown out of proportion and the way you lot describe it, it sounds like it's complete chaeo's. If things where as bad as you lot suggest then no one would buy the thing including myself.
When I went to buy the PS2 I had my problems with regarding to stock. It was claimed that Sony had purposly made few PS2 consoles to make it look high in demand the same as MIcrosoft are doing now. Then there was also the roomer that placing the PS2 on it's side either scrached the disc or made the game crash. I also remember all the Sega and Nintendo fan boys slagging it off for it's looks and saying it looked like an air conditioner.
The point is that what Microsoft have released has had it's fought's but so have all the other companies with the release of thier consoles. Also I remember too well at how good Sony are at creating hype and I fel for it again with the PS3 but over time I relised the 360 to be the better choice.

wonder why some consoles are jacked and some are perfect. Example... the 360 at the walmart by my house has been there forever and is on like 24/7, yet it hasnt fried like some ppl's 360. Same with ps2, mine had disc read errors while some ppl's are perfect. (im talking about the first releases of the console that are proly from the same assembly line and stuff) I bet i got the crappy 360 under my xmas tree cuz i have that kind of luck.

The disc read error on the PS2 reminds me of the 3 types of DVD drives for the XBOX. There were 3 manufacturers it came from, one was best, one was alright, and one was total crap. Maybe the DRE is like that, the DVD drive just came from a crappy manufacturer.
