How do I make the movie brighter?

I used the dvd Decrypter and DVD shrink to backup my first movie which I'm quite proud of, but the movie seems alittle darker then the original how can I lighten the movie next time?

Hi,
Are you playing the copy under the same exact conditions (DVD player, TV, etc) as the original? If so it should look the same. You may get a 'darker' looking picture on a PC versus a DVD player.

There is no adjustment in DVDD or Shrink (or other similar software) that will affect this as far as I know.
