does anyone know how to make a liteon sohw 1693s dvd burner make booktype dvd rom

Here are several tools for use with liteys...including booktyping.

i downloaded the newest firmware for this drive and use Nero but with this drive it still won't let me booktype to dvd rom. any more help?

Make sure you're using DVD+R media. DVD-R media cannot be booktyped to DVD ROM.

In addition to changing the booktype in DVD Decrypter, the link I gave earlier (under utilities) has the Liteon booktype tool...here it is
