I have been looking for the anwser to this on here...no luck..so i am writing this...sorry if it is obvious but i can not figure it out.
Used DVD Decypher to write ISO to my HDD>...then used the same DVD decypher to write to a DVD -R disc (tried +r and +RW too)....this game wont load up .....nhl2003..
SOmeone told me i need a mod chip..the console is stock....where do i go from here, help and THANKS!!!!!!!
Are u saying your trying to play games without a modchip, it wont work, you will have to buy a modchip, and solder it on ur ps2's motherboard, or you can get a solderless chip, like the DMS E.Z.I chip, or just buy swap magic.
thanks for the reply..yeah..i wanted to play my back up copy on a stock PS2 console...i just dont get why we can't copy a disc and have it play on a stock machine...i have now read about these mod chips for swap discs , etc......i am guessing that my ISO backup was done correctly however it just wont work without the modchip or swap disc as mentioned all over this site......but what is it with orignial games that doesn't require all this.....afterall its just a disc, right??? IS THERE NO WAY OF CREATING THESE DISCS so they play like the orignal disc with out all this talk of mod chips, boot discs etc....Can we make a copy do all what the orignal does...how can it be that impossible??? I DONT GET IT.....
there is no cracking it. When ps2 games are pressed, a special securtiy code is placed in a spot where only the ps2 can read it, and NO burner can burn there. So, unless you have a dvd press and a bunch of extra ps2 games you can press over (thats what the boot disc people do), your sol.
sly_61019 is right, there is no way round it, the chip turns this protection of, and swap magic bypasses it, when original disks are made they are pressed with some type of code that no burner has the capability of burning.
