I don't know what u read but, of course you can copy dual layer disc. Just use Nero to do it. There are a number of threads in the Nero Forum. You only need to use DVD Shrink if you want to burn a Dual layered disc to a single layered disc. Since you've got a dual layered burner that's not an issue for you.

I think you better start at the basics and do not know what you have been reading on this site considering all the forums tell you that you can burn your movies to disk. Since you have Shrink and Nero you can compress and burn, but you will also need another ripper since Shrink cannot do some newer protected movies. Get the free DVDFab Decrypter available from http://www.filepedia.com and then here is a guide that explains how to copy your movies to a single layer 4.7g disk.

Use good media such as Verbatim, Sony, Fuji or Maxell and burn at 4x speed.

If you want to burn Dual Layer disks then you will have to buy this type of media. And can use the free program ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter to do this
