Hey I would like to know if there is a way to burn multiple AVI files (a number of episodes not a split movie) to a DVD and have selectable subtitles. Thanks in advance.

2 programs come to mind.

vso DivX to dvd can accomodate you for converting your avi's to mpeg2
Hers a link for the free version:

http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd-r_tools/vso_divxtodvd...

and after you have encoded them, you will be able to add them to TMPGEnc dvd author where you can edit them, add menus and basically make your project pretty before you burn it to disc.

heres a link for TMPGEnc dvd author:

http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd-r_tools/tmpgenc_dvd_a...

i prefer Nero recode to burn with but if you dont have that heres a link to imgburn which is also very good:

http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd-r_tools/imgburn.cfm

LAst but not lease if you have trouble using the re author program.
Heres a link to the basic tutorial:

http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/tmpgenc_dvd_author_guide.cfm

and one for the advanced one:

have fun

Actually "Tmpgenc DVD Author" doesn"t support Selectable Subtitles as it is a Very Basic Authoring program..."Tmpgenc DVD Author Pro" supports Subtitles but it is also more expensive than the regular DVD Author....

I personally prefer useing "MediaChance DVDLab Pro" for Makeing DVD"s with or without Subtitles accept with DVDLab (And TMPGEnc DVD author) you have to convert your AVI files to DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 files before authoring the DVD....

Since I come from a non-english country at certain ocasions I prefer to toggle on subtitles. I concur with Minion about DVDLab Pro. I have used it for more than 9 months by now and I've authored many with 2 or more subtitle files.
The result has been optimum even playing the disc on a stand-alone player or the PC.

It's suggested that you have your subtitle file in an .srt format, since it's the most accepted format coming around these days.

Have fun

Cheers
