DMS4 EZI Lite problems

i haev just got my second dms4 mod chip after the first turned out to be faulty, this one seems ok as far as i can tell but when installed i haev a problem. I can disable it by holding square and can boot into the ps2 start menu and everything like normal but every disc i have tried so far results ina disc read error, i have a had this a few times before i put the chip in but can always sort it but this time it doesnt seem to want to fix. can anyone help me at all, need to know what to do!!!
