I have sound problems on this device but not what has been discussed on the threads that you normally see about sound sync for the Archos units.....I have just invested in an Archos Av400, 80 gig. I had the AV300 20 gig before and upgraded for more space (not that i needed it !). I had no problems with the AV300 with any aspect of it and had it from new when they first came out. I have a large collection of DIVX programs recorded from it and saved onto dvd discs that work brilliantly on my dvd player (DIVX player from ASDA). I have come to do the same with this new AV400 (copy some programs from the tv) and it has copied the programs fine, sound and picture is ok on the Archos and on my computer but when i come to play it on the DVD (DIVX player) the picture is there but no sound. I think, in fact i am sure, that this must be something to do with the way the sound is recorded on the AV400 compared to the AV300.
Would anyone know the difference between the AV300 and 400 as regards to the different ways they record sound and any way i can correct this. Otherwise i am happy with the unit.
