ive just bought my crossover cable so i can ftp from x straight to pc via network card but my x box dosent have a a new dash board judt origina ms dash board my chip is excuter2.6 i think so what i want to know is where va i download one from i would like avalauch dash and how do i install the dash on my x box do i burn the dash on cd then some how put on x box sorry as i a newbie

also how do i find out my ip number and dns servers and sub mask on my pc i am using win 98se i cant seem to do it from the tutorials ive read i think there all for win xp
also in my xbox setting all the ip number and dns and other setting are set to 00 00 00
