Ok, after much trying - I have finally burned my first VCD to where I can play it in my standalone DVD player... Here's my question... The problem I was having was that no matter what write speed I selected, it would burn at 8x which was too high. I needed 4x or below... I tried a lot of different media, and the last one finally worked. It was Fuji Film CD-RW 1x-4x. So I'm thinking my whole problem was the media I was using b/c I didn't change anything else. Now really, the ? is: do certain media types want to burn at a higher speed for some reason? Do I need to make sure that the discs I use specify 4x as its MAX speed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Melissa

Great to know that you've told the world that you've copied a file. No harm in that. Is it yours? Do you hold ALL copyright and publishing rights. Please seek legal advice... NOW

The Derby Met Police/Trading Standards (Northern) will investigate your IP address MelissaE (no doubt an alias) and you will be contacted shortly

I assume you're only joking monzaman, you can do what you want to backup your legally owned DVD...
BTW I think the problem is the media (CD-RW is bad: use CD-R). Anyway, this is the wrong forum. Try asking to the VCD forum, instead
