hi, noob here again, if anyone has snesx9 on their psp they should see that all games are a bit slow, i did a bit of tinkering and saw that raising the graphic speed and lowering the sound quality etc kinda worked, but i was you could over clock the psp from 222, to 266 and 333. the games work excellently now, but im concearned about over clocking, it just doesnt sound too great, and id rather not push the psp. any ideas?info about the subject? whether is good or bad? safe or stupid? anything would be brilliant. thanks guys.

Yeah, i used it and always ran it on 333, with no more heat felt in the back than normal (that i can remember), but i gotta say i didn't ever play them for long, i did read somewhere that it's fine to use on the highest clock setting (pretty sure from the developer himself), but i'll let peeps who have used it for longer to comment.

Dont worry because, technically its not overclocking. Sony was gona release the psp's at 333mhz, however the battery coudlnt last very long set at that processing speed, so they down clocked them to 222mhz, to save battery life. but the processors were meant to run at 333mhz. So, it isnt overclocking, and the only bad thing is that it will drain the battery faster. So dont worry bout anything, cept the battery.

yeah i heard when they release gt for psp it will unlock the extra mhz, i used umd emulaotor at 333mhz for a while and it drilled the battery more than normal perhaps, but at 266 doesn't seem to make any difference to the fps...

i thought sony weren't unlocking the extra mhz until gt came out, and thought they'd be releasing the fw 3.0 to do it with, i must have read it wrong..

ok this isn't overclocking it's perfectly safe.
Default PSP runs at 266MHZ to save battery. but is slow.
Set to 333MHz and it runs smoothly, but drains battery faster.
OVERCLOCKING is going pst 333MHz to like 400MHz. Without proper equipment (high powered cooling fan and bigger power supply) your PSP is fried.
In snes9x, go to options and set to 333MHz.
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

Hi
I've just got snesx9 and started up mario kart and it was ridiculously slow, i've turned the sound off and got it running at 333mhz but it's still really slow. Is there anything else I can do?
Cheers
