Printing onto DVD face, starts to print very very light!

Ok so im using dataon DVDs. Just recently i had to change 2 ink cartridges in my printer, now it prints all my dvdr faces really light.

I have a Canon i865 and using canon labelprint.

I checked the printer settings and they were still on default and it showed my new cartridges had been added and I dabbed the end of the cartridges just incase the ink wasnt flowing.

So i printed off a disc, it was light. I printed of the exact same face on a word document and it printed of normally!

I know its not the face on the dvds because before I switched cartridges they worked fine.

Any ideas or does anyone know of different cd printing software?

Nero Cover Designer.
I use Canon Labelprint on a Canon IP3000.
On my printer there is a cleaning cycle which sends a sheet of paper through to clean the plate, it does not use ink.
I don't know if the path the paper takes is different from the CD tray, but they still have to end up underneath the printhead.
