I am looking to get a hard drive for my ps2. I know that I will need a network adapter, and HDloader/HDAdvance also . My main question is can I download HDloader or HDAdvance somewhere on the net, and then copy them onto my hard drive or memory card through a CD-R? I also have Swap Magic 3.6. If it is possible, can you tell me the steps?

You can do most of what you ask apart for put hdloader/hdadvance on the hdd BUT since you have swap magic you can put it on your mem card which then only needs a Ps1 game to launch from the memory card.
