I was using Sony DVD-R 120 min/4.7 GB AccuCore discs and they work fine for burning dvd's. I recently got some Sony DVD+R 120 min/4.7 GB Accucore discs from a friend. When I tried to burn a movie on one, it just kept on going and going in the burner even after it said it was done. Any one have any ideas why this would happen. I have a Sony DVD RW DW-D22A burner if that makes any difference.

I had the same problem and found out that my burner had given up the fight,i suggest you use other brand dvd discs it just might be the brand of discs you are using.Other than that i am not too sure what is going on.

Let's have the "very last section" from your Nero logs and creaky (our super friendly Moderator) will help to tweak you through (and or I'll volunteer to help too, hehehe). Go here to get your Nero log: C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory -- now REMEMBER to EDIT out your Nero serial (something like 1A23XXXXXXXXXXXX) before you're going to post here.

Now, this one worked, but I don't think it works at 8X or at least my last attempt didn't. Can you guys tell me how to burn without having to backup to my hard drive? The programs I use to rip are DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 and DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0. I also just recently purchased AnyDVD. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh ya, one other thing. The Sony -R's I was using, which are the same discs as the +R's burned at 8X no problems ever, so it's weird that I would have trouble with the +R's at the same speed I think.

- InCD is Nero's horrid 'packet writing software', uninstall Nero then uninstall completely via Nero's Clean Tools, then reinstall Nero WITHOUT installing InCD

How do I install that firmware? It will only let me download it in binary format and I don't know what to do with it.

hi, just d/loaded the firmware to see what's in the zipfile and got lucky - there's a readme file in there, and part of it says "
Flash in Windows using "LtnFW".

...so...see here - http://dhc014.rpc1.org/howto.htm

you can use ghe lite-on utility 'LtnFW' as your Sony is a rebadged Lite-on
