I have a Benq 1620 dvd burner and have been using verbatim+r dvd's but the other day I bought a pack of TDK+r discs and I can't use them. Any time I tried using a disc an I/o message pops up stating a bad disc. I went through 4 discs of the pack of 25. sometimes when using the verbatim I get a no response when I am burning with shrink/decrypter. you know when you have to put a disc in for decrypter and hit the button to burn to dvd. a statement says device not found and stays gray. but put a different disc in from the same batch, it works, so for verbatim i guess there are a few bad discs. but what is the story with the TDK disc. any clues
thanks
TDK sucks~! i despise TDK more than ANY other "brand" out there~ while personally, i feel that their DVD-R format discs are worse (the ones with the TTG01/TTG02/TTH01/TTH02- all TDK's OWN manufactured crap), but with YOUR DVD+R, chances are you got some media that are not much better~ :(
TDK DVD+R 4.7GB CMC MAG.E01 8x (CMC MAG...not good im afraid)
TDK DVD+R 4.7GB CMC MAG.F01 4x (just to be complete, not good again)
TDK DVD+R 4.7GB CMC MAG.M01 16x (wow, same crap again in the 16x speed)
TDK DVD+R 4.7GB MBIPG101R04 8x (moser baer india, not good again)
TDK DVD+R 4.7GB RICOHJPNR02 8x (these would probably be the "best" out of the bunch)
TDK DVD+R 4.7GB TDK.....003 16x (crap x2 then x2 again LOL)
ill stop now...but, run ur discs through dvd identifier or decrypter to find out WHICH one of the above i mentioned you actually got as the media ID coding)...all are pretty poor im afraid~ with the only exception of the Ricoh ones, which in MY OWN OPINION, are not great, but much better than the rest~
