All things considered, I am pretty much a noob, but only because of lack of experience. If you explain it to me I will pick it up.

I'm thinking hard about getting the X3 chip, and have read up on how to install that (the pin header way) and feel like that won't be a problem.

Where I get confused is with the FlashBIOS boot from CD. Just reading the tutorial, it sees like the FlashBIOS screen will come up automatically, and then I have to put a cd in with whatever BIOS I want to use saved to a .bin file.

So my question is, first, is that accurate...will the FlashBIOS automatically come up? And if so, is it also correct that it is not functional as far as playing a game?

Which leads to the second question of: will a new BIOS be required in order to install a dashboard and begin playing games, etc. If that is the case, is Evo-x (I think that is what it is called) the best BIOS to use? If so, where can a new BIOS be obtained?

I'm sure there are many opinions about "the best", but any input would help.
