I have downloaded TS files from a source numerous times and everytime i try to burn them they wont play on my dvd player. It tells me " Playback Prohibited by area limitations" but they play fine on my computers. I tired 2 methods using toast 7 with a mac and using dvd shrink with my PC. i also have nero but iam not sure how to use it correctly. Is there any way to do this correctly because i cant seem to get them to play on any dvd players.

thank you!

skapat,
what format are the TS files in? have you tried to onvert them to DVD format? Most if not all movie files will play on your PC (as long as you have the right codecs installed). Can you give a bit more info?

I am wondering if mabe the are encrypted somehow? But then i think it cant be if they work fine on my computers just not my dvd player or a PS2. I dont get this at all i burn ripped dvds all the time and they are the same files as this and they work perfectly. anything wrong with downloaded TS files from a bit torrent?

Sounds like you are having a region problem...the disc was made to play in a certan country, and you are trying to play it with a non region-free DVD player.

I'll see you on Xbox Live...mike814

If you have all the files in one folder, try running them through DVDshrink and create an iso to burn. Shink will take any region coding off the files, and give you an nice image to burn to disc. Does your DVD player play RW discs? I have found that burning the first image i do to a RW will save a lot of hassle if it hasn't worked for whatever reason.
