Help with Nero burning - MPEG to DVD-R

Hi, Hopefully someone can help !!! Nero dont seem to want to....

Im Trying to get my MPEG1/MPEG2 Films from my PC to work on standalone DVD players, by burning to DVD-R's in DVD format.

I have used TMPenc's wizard to create a DVD PAL compatable file,I then authered using DVD Complete by dazzle,i didnt burn with dazzle due to it creating nothing but coasters :(, so i am now trying to burn with Nero (latest full version with MPEG2 and DVD plug ins installed)

I have loaded the the Audio and Video TS files into nero, using the UDF Rom 1.02 method. When i click burn it tells me "DVD Video files Sorted"

it then hangs when it says "checking Disk"

Im Using a High end P4 2.53ghz system with 512k ram
Sony DRU500 internal multi-format burner.

DVD xCopy works perfectly on my system,
