Has anyone experienced problems when their network adaptor is connected?

My online games (Mostly Madden 06) were working fine. Then one day they stopped loading when the Sony Network Adaptor is hooked up.

I went out and bought a new (used) network adaptor and the problem still exists.

It seems that when I hook up the network adaptor and try to load Madden 06 it will hang on the initial game load screen. When I disconnect the adaptor the game will load and play just fine.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this????

Regards,
AW.

Try getting a brand new Network Adapter and check your connections and if that dosen't work just re-install it.

Ok, the new adaptor did not work.

Everytime I hook up the Adaptor the machine freezes up. I take off the adaptor and the game/disc will load.

I'm thinking the Adaptor port on the PS2 is bad.

Anyone ever replace the network adaptor port on a PS2??

AW.

I got the game to boot up and set up the network configuration successfully.

The problem is now everytime I try to create a new or existing account in Madden 06, the game ends and I end up at the boot up screen showing the disc and the memory card. I click on the game disc and I get nothing.

Maybe it is the game disc which is bad?

Anyone have this happen to them before??

I'm thinking maybe it is the PS2 wireless receiver. The wireless router is working with my laptop.

I've now been able to connect to SOCOM servers, but not play.

Regards,
AW.
