No Power after installing New Reset/Eject Cable

I just got A new Reset/Eject Cable for my ps2. after installing it, the PS2 worked perfect for two days, the third day i didnt use the PS2, on the forth day i went to play and got no power when i turned on the console. Any ideas on what could be wrong ??

Did you make sure everything is secure and that you didn't clamp the ribbon with the case when you put it back on?

I am Sure it was secure, and I dont replace the top I leave it off because the tray is broken, so I have a makeshift filp top.

And I'm sure its secure cause it worked one day and not the next, I checked the cable and it was tight in place.

Someone elsewhere mentioned cross wiring...Any idea bout that.

Still looking for Help..I tried new Reset/Eject Buttons as well as the Reset/Eject cable and still no power what so ever.

If you've tried re-installing that cable, maybe next you could try to check fuses? If you have a multimeter, check and see if you are getting power to the system in the first place.
