Is there something better than HDLoader?

Has anyone written a program like HDloader that will allow you to load and play backups and go online from your hard drive?

I have a Matrix Infinity but it turns off after loading HDLoader.
I also read that HDLoader disables the PS2?s network adapter, why?

I would think that some genius would have written a freeware program that's better than HDLoader by now.

Any ideas?

What am I doing wrong guys?

I'm using HDL Patch 0.7c.
I can install originals to my HDD but not my backups.
If I install backups using WinHIIP or HDL Dumb, HDL
will not play them. Only originals.
My Matrix Infinity turns off after loading HDL and I don't know how to keep it on long enough to fool HDL.

What am I missing here?

what are you using to read the ISO file to your PC before transfering the files with WinHIIP???

the copied games has nothing to do with it, if they are failing to load you've got the wrong mode set on them. i use DVD Decryptor for all DVD games and WinHIIP to transfer them to the HDD and never have a single problem, even with DVD-9 games. your problem has got to be in the mode selection I'd think.

Then how are you loading them off of the hard drive?
If I use HDLoader then my modchip turns off after loading HDLoader.
If it's off, then it won't load copied games.

when you have the ISO file on the HDD the console doesn't know the difference be it put there with an original game or a backed up. a backup is an exact ISO of the original.

again if your failing to load the game off the HDD you either have a bad ISO or you have the mode set wrong for the game.

what game in particular is it your trying to load? and have you tried all the mode options?
