Recentally I reformated my computer, and before hand it would take about 25-35 mins to back up a dvd, Now its taking upwards of an hour? is there something that I can change to fix it back?

I did the following in that link to try and fix the speed reduction.
I also uninstalled another dvd player that was on there, I have a labtop with only 1 dvd drive.

Each time I restart the computer, the DVD drive will reinstall itself and the secondary IDE drive reinstalls basically resetting it to where it was before I uninstalled and restarted.

And due to this happening, my Encoding times have almost doubled.
