Yeah too right Spain should well make it out of that group but look at 2002 France got ripped apart, Germany also are in a fairly easy group, Group E looks like it could be entertaining, Brazil look to be in a comfortable group also, Sweden & England should be a good game, all in all it seems if it will be an OK cup.
If....if only Scotland had made it....Then it would ave been fun :P

VIVA ITALIA!!!!Italy is in a pretty decent division, Czech, USA and Ghana. The only game which will be easy(but who knows EG:France Senegal)is probably the Ghana game, but i'm going crazy to watch the USA game, should be fun,....

Go Trinidad & Tobago!!!. Hey I'm just kidding. They're from the Caribbean and it's their first time to the Big Show.
Spain has a walk in the park. Germany,England, Argentina,Italy & Spain should top their tables. I'm not commiting to state the same for groups D&G just yet. Too unpredictable.
Closer to the starting date we can start a thread and make bets(much like Mr & Mrs Bubba in preparation for the birth of their daughter) about who's gonna win their group, possible score, who's gonna win the cup or which player gets the golden boots, etc. Can't wait!!!.

out of the following groups, which, according to you, do you think the so called group of death is?
I'd say it's group C, although alot of people reckon group E is.

For me to classify a group as the group of death all the teams must be fairly evenly matched. That's very hard to find in the drawing. You might find 3 which are close so it changes the dynamics. It's a really tough one but I'd say group E.

Hey, I'm from Trinidad and say that we can beat England, loose to Sweden and loose to Paraguay.
The guys will be highly motiviated against England, plus England is no great team.

Group C is the group of death in my opinion. Argentina, Holland and Ivory Coast are all good teams. I reckon it will be the argies and the dutch who will qualify. Also there could be a few suprises in Englands group. Im from England and im sick of the media saying we have an easy route. Believe it or not we could end up not qualifying. Im sure Sweeden will qualify but I wouldn't count my blessings on England. Paraguay and Trinidad shouldn't be underestimated.

I looked at group C and initially had the same thought as you. However I am aware of Trinidad's & Paraguay's abilities since I follow CONCACAF & S. American League. Realistically, of those two teams you only have Paraguay as a real threat . But I still expect Sweden & you guys to go through. Can't say who'll be # 1 or #2 coz that's tricky.

I think that here in the USofA the only people that are interested in the World Cup are foreigners .. and they certainly aren't pulling for the USofA to go past the first round or whatever happens ...

What country are you from.
@ catfreak
Soccer will become more popular in the coming years in the States. It's just overshadowed by NFL, NBA and MLB at the moment.

Interesting attempt to 'talk' trini slang :)
I aint from Penal ( I shudder at the thought of that idea) I am from south though.
btw, I have another reason for not being a fan of England - got quite a few friends who are members of the Tartan Army, having spent a year studying north of the border.
@ weazel200
he's not from T&T but seems to know a bit about the country, must have some friends from here.

I deliberately said Penal coz I know it would have evoked the very same response that you had. I commend you though for admitting that you're from the South. Almost every Trini I know 'comes from' San Fernando :) I know there's a rivalry between yourselves and the Reggae Boyz so it'll be interesting to see if the Soca Boyz can outclass them on their debut.
