Lens isnt moving whats the problem?

this is a problem on my pstwo slim since im new to the ps2 stuff i dont know if this as ocored before.

My ps2 slim lens is just siting there not even moveing so i took a closer look at..

The shaft that moves the lens seams to be well jamed, just not. ( I connected the conector of the shaft to a old dvd drive i had kicking around, i tested it and it works fine.) why is it doing this?

The ps2 is ablout 5 weeks old and I buyed it new.

Also the shaft seems to rumble a bit, it doesnt move just sits there huming. ( like its moving vary fast back and forth but its not moveing at all) if you try moving the lens wile its doing this lets say to the front of the console it will be vary easy, (this is wen it thinks it closed) when u open it it does the same thing if u try moving the lens to the back of the console its very easy. This goes vice versa, when the console thinks it open its easy to go back but not forward, when the console thinks it shut its easy to go forward but not back.

Just so i dont make people confused of what i mean by a shaft:
The shaft im talking about is that one thats attaced to the lens that makes it move back and forth so it can read cd's/ dvd's / ps2 games.

Any help with this isue would be helpfull i tryed to give as much info as i could.

Still no one? ok then if this is any bit more help the console is a scph-70001
V13 i belive.

I need to get the console dvd drive working i odered a mod-chip (dms4 pro) and it will be hear monday-tuesday.

I need the drive working so i can flash the chip, so i can use usb advance on it.

Other then this problem the console works fine.

Please help

One other thing, i had the ps2 appart sitting in a place that it wouldnt get damaged and remove all the main componetns like the fan dvd lens atatchment that battery and the main ground plating.

Could that have done it is there anyway to repaire it?
