winavi and DVDSanta issues with DIVX audio

I have a panasonic dvd/vcr combo that has always worked with all my conversions of xvid and divx to dvd. I had to redo my computer and I put those programs back on. My player does not support divx/xvid, and when these two programs originally converted there was no audio troubles. Today I converted a divx to dvd and I have low sound with an overlay of sound (like a record going fast). When I play on my computer it is fine, just not on my dvd. Am I missing a file or something that converts the sound correctly? Just a note, it worked the movie worked before I had to reload my computer, now it doesn't transfer sound correctly.
