I installed my dms4 ezi chip and used the test board that game with it. The test board shows all green lights but my TV screen goes blank. I checked and rechecked everything but don't know what's wrong. The only thing that went wrong was when I was disconnecting my fan power cord I ended up pulling the wires out and the plug remains intact. Could this really be causing my problem? I'm in need of dire help.

If the fan is disconnected, it could be the cause to the problem, but it shouldnt be a problem straight away, normally the PS2 should boot normally with the fan disconnected, but the PS2 overheats real quick.

disconnect and reconnect everything and give it another go, sometimes the EZI will give all green but one of the clip ons is misaligned slightly causing cross shorting with power on.

common sense would lead you to believe he reinstalled them and didn't just leave em dangling. the fan is not the cause of this problem.

Is there really a point of the DMS4 ezi chip, it is a good chip, but you might as well as get the original, the ezi has screwed up quite a few consoles, i have seen on other forum sites, where people are always posting about problems with the ezi.

the point behind the EZI is so folks who don't have a clue as to how to solder can install their own chip. failure to follow instructions and pay attention to what your doing as well as use of common sense is what causes damage to consoles where these chips are installed. the chip and the design principal to help ease the installation skill requirement are admirable form the DMS team IMO. and being completely off topic for the original post, my apologies to the poster and i do hope your problem is easily corrected.
Merry Christmas

I know it has been a while since you posted your problem with the DMS4 EZI Lite but i was wondering if you solved you problem with it? I am running a version 5 and just installed the DMS4 EZI in my system and my problems are almost exactly the same as yours. There is no output signal from my ps2 and the eject is very choppy.
Any help would be great.

nope mine i still broke, i blew the power supply
i did manage to get video though.
unclip the bios clip (small one) carefully and make sure it goes on straight thats why u get no video. the larger clip also controls the eject (partially) and if u dont get it right it wont eject
i cant afford a new psu just yet hopefully in a couple of weeks i will get one.
it also helps if u cut a hole in the metal plate where the eject pcb goes and also above where the chip goes.
pressure on either can stop them working.
let u know when i get mine fixed
regards
