A couple of days ago, after a long time when I did not use the programme, I tried to fire up my installed copy of this programme.
It is v.3.2.5.13 which was downloaded as an upgrade from 321 Studios on 15/05/04, the original, v.3.0.2, was legit and purchased from a well known computer store that has since gone bust, part of Tiny I think. Having got that out the way, up pops a message telling me I had to activate it, so I duly typed in the Licence ID and Password. This was followed by another message >(7) The alotted number of activations has been used for this licence<
Searching Google reveals that 7 is the maximum number of activations so, 1st. I have only activated this programme twice, first when it was originally installed, and second after I replaced the HD.
2nd. Having purchased the programme legit, why am I restricted to only 7 activations? Not even Microsoft does that. I promptly sent an email to 321, and, of course, it bounced, I only found out later from Google that they have gone out of business. So have I now ended up with a programme that is totally useless or is there some way round this?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Yogi, I have had the same problem with DVD X Copy Express and DVD X Copy Platinum. If you find a cure for this problem I would gratly appreciate an update on how to solve it.
Thank You

Hello JohnC
Somewhere on this forum is a reply I received from baldbear, if I could find it I would have copied it into this message but I can't.
If I remember correctly, he directed me to www.xcopy-intlsupport.ca/index.cgi?, hopefully he/she will pick this up and correct me if I'm wrong. Anyhow, I filled in the details requested and back came activation instructions. One thing, it asked for the dates of purchase and original activation. As I had no idea, I followed baldbear's advice again and guessed (made them up)
Hope this helps.
Merry Christmas

yogi35,
I had the same problem activating X-Copy after the company went bust. Go to this site, fill in the information and they will reset the activations for you. You must prove you were a 321 customer by entering your previous license I.D. number. They have helped me a few times already. Don't know how they do it but they do.
http://www.dvdxcopy-international.com/ here is the url for there site. lol.

Many thanks demo for the address, but I have already got mine sorted following baldbear's instructions (which seem to have disappeared from the forum, or maybe its in a different place) Possibly be of some help to JohnC1165 though.

I have no idea how these posts have ended up under the Motorola heading, they started off under dvdxcopy. Perhaps a moderator can explain and sort them out please.
Seasons greetings to all.
