Help! Plz!!! Network adapter not working because of Messiah mod

Please could anybody help me? I have just recently bought a sony ps2 network adapter. I have installed the adapter as stated in the instructions. When i tried to install the software it keeps coming up with DNAS error(-402)playstation disc information error failed Dnas test.It told me to ring the no on the back of the box which i did and i spoke to a technical advisor.He asked me what the problem was and i told him the error code. he asked me if the console was chipped and if it was then it would not work, which it is by the way.So then!! i have an old PS2 and i got it chipped about a year ago i think it is the messiah 2 chip cus they stamped it m2 on the ticket. Is thier any way to get around this? Or should i give up and get an xbox and go to xbox live.. (only messin)cheers.....
